Includes high speed WiFi network device discovery, able to find devices on your local network other tools miss. Standard network diagnostic tools such as ping, traceroute, DNS lookup, and whois are also provided.

WiFi Network Scanner
Discover all the machines running on your network.
• Supports IPv6 scanning via broadcast addresses
• All Bonjour/mDNS services, including all extra data stored in the TXT record.
• All UPnP devices, including sub-devices and services.
• Discover devices using NetBIOS. This helps a lot on networks with many Windows machines.

Continuous Traceroute
Provides details of the network hops to the destination host. Optimized to determine the network path extremely quickly, often in less then 5 seconds. Once the path is determined, it proceeds to continuously ping each hop to provide additional statistics and alternate paths, similar to tools like PathPing and MTR.
• Visualize traceroute geolocation data on the map

DNS

• Lookup details about hosts, IP addresses, and more
• Auto detects the whois server based on the query, or use a custom server

Of youre providing support and need to perform traceroute, ping and name lookups on a regular basis... You need this application!
Ive tried many IT networking apps, and this one is great. In particular, it is nice to have many simple tools in one, rather than having a bunch of different apps. So far, I havent found anything wrong with it.
Work exactly as expected and even more! The trace on the map - its amazing!!
When troubleshooting network issues, this quick and easy to locate devices.
In many forums and websites, I see questions regarding home networking, addressed with about as much enthusiasm as an oncoming cold. As such,my only complaint with IT Tools is its lack of a help/support section. If you plan to use it, come knowledgeable, or know where you can look you terms and their relationships between each other. Like I said, nobody wants to deal with elementary illnesses. That said, as a self-taught, still learning enthusiast, I find this app to be reliable, full of information, and consistent. Other apps crash on me, or provide only surface information. Not so here. Finally, I am quite leery of many network apps, IT Tools is one that I trust.
This does pretty much everything I need in a concise user interface.

Some bad moments

Gives numbers, but you dont have a clue what you are looking at. Not worth the $7 in anyway. Other free apps seem to give the same info in a friendlier way. Wasted my money......
This app opens up lots of discreet network and device info which is helpful if you already know all this stuff.But it doesnt tie anything together so I can find patterns and problems. UI is clumsy. Still, a solid app.
Does everything it promises. UI is not the best, but functionality is top-notch
Works very well and contains all the normal network troubleshooting tools.
This app used to work as it stated. Now I cant use it at all. Ever since the new update the app immediately crashes. I tried deleting and reinstalling but that does not help either. Please fix or at least roll it back to the version before this last update. At least I could use the app then.
Emailed the app author about the crash problem and it was updated in a day! Very useful app, now that it works!
